PRS Introduces the Experience PRS 2012 Limited Edition Amplifiers

To complement the traditional Experience PRS Limited Edition guitars, PRS has spec’d a distinctive grouping of Experience 2012 amplifiers, including a 2 Channel “H”, an MDT, an HXDA, and a 1x12 Dallas Combo with Bugs Henderson mods. These amplifiers will be available in limited quantities at Experience PRS 2012 and available for order through September 30, 2012.

Announcing the PRS SE Clint Lowery Signature Model Electric Guitar

Largely known as the lead guitarist for Sevendust, Clint Lowery is recognized worldwide for his raw melodies and empowering riffs. These same tones helped land him a gig as Korn’s touring guitarist in 2007. The new PRS SE Clint Lowery guitar is designed for metal and hard-rock players with attitude, and with an adjustable stoptail and 25 ½” scale length, it is perfect for dropped-tuning. In fact, at Clint’s request, the SE Clint Lowery ships tuned to C#/drop “B”[C# G# E B F# B].

PRS Announces the Experience PRS 2012 Swamp Ash Studio Multi-Foil Limited Run Electric Guitar

In 1985, PRS made a small number of guitars with painted pinstripes dubbed “metal guitars.” The second generation in this theme, made in the later 1980’s, used a metallic color coat and was dubbed “Multi-Metal.” While the finish was still wet, it was blotted with a latex glove to give the guitars a more textured and interesting finish. These guitars are a notable part of PRS history.

Jordan Taylor to Drive for Mitchum Paul Reed Smith Guitars Sponsors Car

Virginia Beach, VA (September 4, 2012) – Veteran GRAND-AM driver Jordan Taylor has signed on with Mitchum Motorsports for the final two races of the 2012 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season. Taylor will make his GS class debut in the #62 GS.R Chevrolet Camaro at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Co-driving the Camaro will be George Richardson, who is fresh off of a career best GRAND-AM finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the #62 finished 2nd.

Experience PRS is just a couple weeks away, and we are working hard to put the final touches on the event everyone is anxiously waiting for. All registrants should keep an eye out for an email message from Bev Fowler which will include the event schedule, map and FAQ’s. This information will also be posted on the PRS website - www.prsguitars.com/experience. If you missed out on registration, you can still attend, and we'd love to have you! Admission at the door will be $50.00 per person (children under 12 are free). Complete event details will be emailed to registrants on September 4, but we’ve decided to give everyone a sneak peak at some of the artists who will be joining us this year.

Introduced in 2009 and 2010 respectively, these proprietary pickups, along with the coveted PRS 57/08 pickups, were designed by Paul Reed Smith to capture the iconic tones of legendary 1950’s era guitars. PRS’s First 24-fret Solidbody Piezo-Equipped Guitar Offers a New Tool with Extreme Versatility

The P24, PRS’s first 24-fret solidbody piezo-equipped instrument, gives musicians a new and unique tool to add to their lineup. Based on the extremely versatile P22 model, the limited edition P24 comes standard with a maple 10-Top, mahogany back, 25” scale length Pattern-Regular mahogany neck, Honduran rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl “old school” bird inlays, hybrid hardware, a PRS piezo adjustable stoptail bridge, and the redesigned PRS/LR Baggs piezo system. Only 50 instruments will be made in each of the five colors offered: Black Gold Burst, Blue Crab Blue Burst, Eriza Verde Smokeburst, Fire Red Burst, and Vintage Smokeburst.

PRS Guitars’ Exclusive Collection Series IV Instruments by Private Stock Now Available

Introduced in the fall of 2011, PRS Guitars’ Collection Series instruments are built in small batches by the company’s Private Stock department. Each Collection Series consists of one electric and one acoustic guitar made with the most exacting methods and the most prized components in the company’s possession, including pernambuco necks and fingerboards, which are exclusive to the Collection program. For the fourth installment in PRS Guitars’ Collection Series, Paul Reed Smith and the Private Stock team have designed two stunning instruments: the Series IV Collection Brent Mason electric and the Series IV Collection Grand acoustic.

PRS Guitars Hits the Road with GRAND-AM Road Racing

As PRS Guitars’ third straight year of partnership with GRAND-AM Road Racing continues, there are more trophies, more Guitar Center Fan Days, more Race to the Stage Auditions, and more concerts to enjoy! 2012 marks the second year that PRS is providing race winners in both the Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype (DP) and Grand Touring (GT) classes with a unique trophy – a fully functional PRS SE Singlecut customized with GRAND-AM and Rolex Sports Car Series logos. To support this partnership and work to connect the music and racing worlds in new and exciting ways, PRS is hitting the road for a series of Guitar Center events and race day concerts.
